Privacy policy

myTask is a personal task manager operated by a single individual for their own use. It has one user. Nothing here is shared with anyone, sold to anyone, or used for advertising.

What it collects

• The text of WhatsApp messages you send to the myTask number, so it can work out what task you meant.
• The tasks it creates from them — title, category, deadline, priority, and whether they are finished.
• A short rolling history of recent messages, so it can understand follow-up answers like "next Friday".
• The identifier of each WhatsApp message, used only to avoid handling the same message twice.

It does not collect your contacts, your other WhatsApp conversations, your location, or anything you have not sent it directly.

Who else sees it

• Anthropic — the text of your message is sent to Claude to be interpreted. Anthropic does not train on API data.
• Supabase — your tasks are stored in a private Postgres database.
• Meta — WhatsApp delivers the messages, as it does for any WhatsApp conversation.
• Google — calendar events are created on your own calendar, in your own account.

Google Calendar

myTask asks for permission to create and manage calendar events. It uses this only to mirror your task deadlines onto your calendar: it creates an event when a task has a deadline, moves that event when the deadline changes, and marks it finished when you complete the task. It does not read, alter, or delete events it did not create.

myTask's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke that access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Doing so stops all calendar writing immediately.

How long it keeps things

Tasks are kept until deleted. Recent message history is short and rolling. Because there is one user, deleting everything means deleting the database — which the operator can do at any time.
